The
Mavrons are dedicated to performing chamber music of the highest calibre
throughout Wales and beyond. Since its formation in 2002, the Mavron
Quartet has enjoyed a busy schedule on the concert platform both nationally
and internationally.
The quartet has received invitations to perform at festivals in Europe, such as the Tiberius Chamber Music Festival, Romania and the Klara Festival, Brussels.
The Mavrons are passionate about presenting traditional string quartet repertoire with contemporary works.

About Us
Formed in September 2002, the Mavron Quartet is Wales’ leading string quartet. Since 2005, the Mavron Quartet has enjoyed a residency at The Gate Arts Centre, Cardiff and in 2010 was appointed the first Ensemble in Residence at the National Concert Hall of Wales, St David’s Hall, Cardiff.
